Regions and scope
[edit | edit source]Germany uses a hierarchical region system based on ISO 3166-2, organized in four levels:

Zones intentionally overlap at state borders to ensure coverage. Communities can define additional local scopes while staying compatible with this baseline structure.
A special local / lokal scope exists for testing and neighbor-to-neighbor communication but cannot be configured on repeaters.
